Oregon to Arizona

I spent 5 years in Oregon living my dream. I lived right on Lake Oswego and had a fishing boat outside my back door. The lake was full of bass, perch, crappie, blue gill, red-eared sunfish, trout, salmon, and even sturgeon.

Here is the view off my patio in Lake Oswego.

I sold the boat and moved back to the desert. I have been fishing three times down here. I caught two decent bass in some local urban ponds. Going forward, I will take my camera and post every outing's highlights.

There is some good fishing down here and I'm going to explore it as much as possible. Right now, it's too hot and I don't have a boat for any decent night fishing, but I will get out there soon. Hopefully we will be doing some high country camping and we will get into some trout. Once it cools off, I will go after some bass and the huge flathead catfish we have down here.

It will be hard not to miss the fat largemouths and spunky smallmouths I had right outside my door in Oregon... However, bass fishing is good for a very short time up there and it is cold 10 months of the year. Am I rationalizing? We will have to see what kind of luck I can make for myself in Arizona!!

You are going to have a great time fishing in AZ buddy! I know some great places up on the rim to catch some fat German Brown trout and some slippery rainbows as well! (and no boat necessary...)

Nice Blog!
